how it began...

Yusuke Urimeshi is a human with a demon ancestor who grew up not knowing shit about that. When Prince Koenma (THE SON OF GOOOODD King Yemma) and his assistant Boton discovered he had manageable spirit awareness, they made him Spirit Detective, which is like the police officer of the occult, keeps demons in line and such when it comes to mortal affairs. Since discovering his demon blood Yusuke was booted from that position, but won a Dark Tournament that declared him king of the first relm of Demon world. He soon declined that position however (because he was in love with a human gir) and resides on Earth.

He's now 23 years old. (so for you old people who know what the deal is with YYH, our site picks up after the story ended...but an AU, so you can twist past events however)

For DBZ nerds, timeline wise our site begins a few years before the DBZ series. In this universe the Planet Vegeta was never destroyed. However, after a few small, isolated rebellions, Frieza made it known that their inhalation was inevitable after one more middle finger. And in return for not destroying them on strike one, the first born prince, then around 6 years old, was taken as a token of peace. Roughly 10 years later King Vegeta came with a careful proposition to get the prince back. After having a good laugh, Frieza had Dodoria kill him there in the negotiations room, leaving Prince Tarble, then 10, as rightful king.

Of course, it didn't work out that way. After King Vegeta's death Frieza sent in one of his elite officers to rule over the Saiyan planet in a totalitarian dictatorship outranking the monarchy. Frieza's solders are constantly in and out, and any saiyan who has something negative to say on the matter is sentenced to death without question. As for Tarble, he is still considered "king", though has no say in political matters. Nappa is still general of the Saiyan army.
